Lights of Love

At Ronald McDonald House, it is a priority to celebrate special times of the year with families, including Christmas. The Lights of Love Tree was introduced in 2012 as a means for individuals, businesses and communities to celebrate the strength of families in healing an ill or injured child.

A large outdoor Christmas tree will be erected at Ronald McDonald House in St. John’s and in participating communities. Each tree will be decorated with white bulbs that change to red with love through donations.

Host your own Lights of Love Tree!

  • Set Up Your Tree: Decorate an indoor or outdoor tree with white lights.
  • Celebrate the Lighting: Host a tree lighting event to kick off your campaign.
  • Collect Donations & Spread Love: For each donation, change a white bulb to red or add a red decoration to your tree.

 

For a tax-deductible contribution, one can honor or remember a special person in their life or that hard-to-shop- for person on your Christmas list. With each donation, a red light will shine in their honour on the Lights of Love Tree in front of Ronald McDonald House and we will also provide or send an acknowledgment card for the honoree.
