Strength in Numbers Volunteer Gathering
At Ronald McDonald House Newfoundland and Labrador, we share a common understanding that as a provincial organization, we find strength in numbers and that through our efforts, children and families also find strength in numbers. This strength comes from working side-by-side with staff, volunteers, medical professionals, donors, and advocates to create a far-reaching network of support for children and families facing some of life’s greatest challenges.
We want to celebrate the volunteerism and generosity throughout our province, which is why we invite volunteers, donors and the medical community to join us each year at the Annual International Award Winning Strength In Numbers Volunteer Training Conference in St. John’s, to unite our provincial volunteer network and rally around a common mission of keeping families of ill or injured children close to each other and the care and resources they need.
Each year this Volunteer Gathering includes:
- Annual General Meeting
- Fun Night
- Educational Sessions
- Organization Information
- Family Services
- Fundraising & Communications
- Guided Tour of Ronald McDonald House
- Volunteer Recognition and Awards Gala
- Presentation of the Annual Helping Hand Awards – in honor of founding Board Member Dr. Jack Hand
